This is the one that most people don’t get! Awareness is often confused with mental concentration or holding focus in the head. Awareness is the channel by which inspiration and connectivity beyond the mental database is attained. After all, how do we find a new thought or a creative idea from the accumulation of thoughts in the memory of our lives to date.
When you receive a particular thought at the same time as someone you resonate with, it suggests that this thought was sensed from outside the mental realm of at least one of you.
More likely you both sensed the external stimulus at the same time.

It is as though we have one main channel of reception and unless we take steps to the contrary, this channel will always be hogged by the mind. If you have a mobile phone, you can use it for telephony, internet, music, contacts, games, but only one at a time. At least a phone may receive a call while you are playing music. We are not so lucky. If our mind has locked down our awareness, then we may never notice the flashes of inspiration that are available to us. The other thing about awareness is that it operates from a transferable point in the body. If you have a pain in your knee, you can think about having a pain in the knee but to actually experience it, your point of awareness must visit that place with the mind temporarily yielding control.

Meditation is the process of enjoying an extended period of awareness, whereby thoughts and inspirations may occur but without our reaction to them. As soon as the mind reacts then the awareness is broken and it may take several minutes or hours for you to realise you have come out of your centre. Yoga helps us to develop body awareness by focus on the breath. The combination of these tools is the secret to detox and beyond. They can truly change your life. One of the greatest secrets of human potential is to learn how to breath consciously. Conscious connected breath will allow your body to handle emotional and chemical detox without any further input on your part. It is as though you become a witness to your breathing, rather than a judge or commentator!
