Here is another mystical mode which has important working on the physical body. Sound / vibration has the power to rearrange matter in an orderly manner. Draw a violin bow down the side of a metal plate with sprinkled sand and the sand will rearrange itself into a geometric pattern. We use sound in certain yoga postures.
In one example, the Lion posture, we exhale and roar emanating sound which helps express unresolved emotion and also causes subtle body energy adjustments from the vibrational activity.
In others postures Lynne will invite you to make humming type sounds which modify as you alter the shape of the lips and mouth.

This can produce a harmonic known to ancient cultures. You can still hear it in Tibetan or Hopi ceremonies and is known as Overtone chanting in some circles. The vibration results in a pleasant harmonious feeling, as though our subtle energy channels have been freed up. Carefully selected music during the final yoga relax can allow you attain a deeply peaceful state. Sometimes, tearful emotions release, even laughter, but the net result is a heightened sense of well-being by removing yet another subtle obstruction to the natural energy flow which maintains our optimal state. Music generally is important to the detox programme. Our therapist have scores of relaxing music choices. Music does have a transformative capability, particularly when we are relaxed and receptive.

We have quiet niches in the villa, hammocks or a divan under a sun shade or on the panoramic balcony. Listening to your favourite relaxing music while gazing at distant islands or a glowing sunset will not make you want to rush away! Again the awareness will intensify any experience. When you listen to music with your awareness, in yourcentre, rather than in your head, you will feel a total connection with it, rather than being in judgement of it.
Music in this mode can be very uplifting. Whether you see it as inducing a feeling of well-being or again removing subtle negative energy is probably academic!
